Protection Technologies LLC is seeking a motivated Assistant Low Voltage Fire Technician to support the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the low voltage and fire alarm industry. This role works under the supervision of a Lead Fire Technician and will gain hands-on
experience: in commercial, multi-family, and critical infrastructure environments. Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 Key
Responsibilities: Assist with installation of fire alarm systems (devices, panels, wiring, conduit) Support troubleshooting and basic diagnostics of fire alarm systems Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance in compliance with NFPA standards Pull and terminate low voltage cabling Read and interpret basic blueprints and riser diagrams Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

- Install, configure, and verify low voltage technician systems for residential or small-business customers.
- Complete clean site walkthroughs, document work performed, and confirm customer handoff requirements.
- Troubleshoot device, wiring, app, network, and integration issues using a repeatable field process.
- Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in low voltage technician, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
