Job Description Job Description PSI Communications & Electrical is a smaller company that was started in 2017. We currently have 1 Project Manager and 2 techs. We have been steadily growing over the years and we are looking to bring on 1 more experienced low volt tech (Do not need electrical experience but that is definitely a plus) *Please note, Travel will be required as needed. Usually not gone for longer then 4 or 5 days. We have a few customers that have sites out of state that we are currently working on. We do have alot of work in the So Cal area as well so the travel as of now would be around 50%. We Provide company vehicles, but do not provide tools, must have your own tools. Experience: 2 years minimum of experience: Knowlege of installing structured cabling, terminating, testing cables. Knowledge on how to install a full MDF buildout, racks, ladder racks, patch panels, ETC. Basic Knowledge of fiber, and knowing how to terminate. Knowing how to install IP cameras and program them. What you will own
- Install, configure, and verify low voltage technician systems for residential or small-business customers.
- Complete clean site walkthroughs, document work performed, and confirm customer handoff requirements.
- Troubleshoot device, wiring, app, network, and integration issues using a repeatable field process.
- Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in low voltage technician, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
