Segway Navimow

Segway Navimow is the robotic mower division of Segway-Ninebot, the Chinese mobility company with $1.5 billion in annual revenue known for electric scooters, kickscooters, and the original Segway personal transporter. Ninebot acquired the original Segway Inc. in 2015 for $80 million.

Navimow launched in 2022 as Segway-Ninebot's entry into autonomous lawn care, using a combination of RTK-GPS and the proprietary Exact Fusion Locating System (EFLS) to navigate lawns without boundary wires. EFLS supplements GPS with inertial sensors, wheel odometry, and visual landmarks — maintaining positioning accuracy even under heavy tree canopy where pure GPS degrades. The Navimow lineup includes the H-Series for small-medium lawns (up to 1/4 acre) and the i-Series for larger properties (up to 3/4 acre with optional 4G cellular connectivity).

Navimow sells through Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, and direct, backed by Segway-Ninebot's global service network spanning 40+ countries.

Navimow's EFLS sensor fusion maintains positioning accuracy under tree canopy and near buildings where pure GPS fails — the biggest real-world challenge for wire-free robotic mowers. Setup takes under an hour: walk the boundary with the mower in mapping mode and it records the perimeter. Segway-Ninebot's $1.5B revenue and global service network provide financial stability and support infrastructure that crowdfunded startups cannot match.
