Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, Hiqh EQ. Your Location: 1300 Industrial Road, San Carlos, CA 94070 In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid) Your Schedule: Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (8:00am-5:00pm) Your Manager: Project Manager Your Contribution to Regent5: Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron) Mount devices at the ends of those wires (AV/Network/Control/Lighting/Shading) Build and lace equipment racks Advanced setup and configuration of devices Advanced understanding of networks Advanced troubleshooting of devices Supervise & Mentor Techs/Apprentices Coordinate with other trades to maintain schedule and ensure execution Oversee Job Site Safety Ensure proper project closeout and deliverables You May Come From... AV Installation (Resi & Commercial) Security Installation Low-Voltage Cable Pulling Managed Services (MSP) - If you can install! - Install, configure, and verify smart lighting installer systems for residential or small-business customers.
- Complete clean site walkthroughs, document work performed, and confirm customer handoff requirements.
- Troubleshoot device, wiring, app, network, and integration issues using a repeatable field process.
- Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in smart lighting installer, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
