Job Description Job Description Lead Low Voltage Technician We are looking for an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader with strong technical skills who can manage a crew, communicate effectively with customers and project managers, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of low voltage technicians on commercial and residential job sites. Install, troubleshoot, and service low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security cameras (CCTV), access control, alarm systems, audio/video, and network infrastructure. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Coordinate daily tasks, materials, and job site activities. Ensure all work meets company standards, local codes, and safety requirements. Train and mentor team members while maintaining productivity and quality. Communicate project progress and any issues with management and customers. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in the low voltage industry. Previous experience leading a crew or managing technicians. Strong knowledge of structured cabling, networking, CCTV, access control, and related low voltage systems. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in network technician, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
