In this role, you will handle hands-on installations and lead small teams on multi-week projects. This position requires extensive travel, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities: Install and Maintain: Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax). Cabinet & Conduit Work: Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets. Device Setup: Install and configure CCTV and network devices. Project Leadership: Lead small teams on multi-week projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious delivery.
Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and site maps. Aerial Work: Operate BOOM and/or scissor lifts to work at heights up to 40+ feet. Testing & Compliance: Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
Communication: Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

What you will own
- Install, configure, and verify network technician systems for residential or small-business customers.
- Complete clean site walkthroughs, document work performed, and confirm customer handoff requirements.
- Troubleshoot device, wiring, app, network, and integration issues using a repeatable field process.
- Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in network technician, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
