Job Description Job Description As a technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot life safety low-voltage systems, including wander prevention, nurse call, access control, locking systems, and CCTV. This position requires weekly overnight out-of-town travel, but generally home on weekends. Skills Relay logic 2 years experience, 2 year degree, or 4 year degree (Electronics, Computers or Engineering) Computer Knowledge Wireless networking Cable pulling Structure modifications using power and hand tools Follow all Safety policies and procedures Safely work in high-traffic areas Leadership skills a plus. Job Responsibilities: Install and repair low-voltage equipment in facilities located in several different states Safely operate and maintain a work vehicle Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, time sheets, and equipment logs Interact with customers in a professional manner Effectively communicate with the team on a daily basis Able to travel out of town overnight Company Description Amped, Inc. is an electronic systems integrator specializing in the healthcare industry providing wander prevention, nurse call, access control, and surveillance cameras. What you will own
- Install, configure, and verify network technician systems for residential or small-business customers.
- Complete clean site walkthroughs, document work performed, and confirm customer handoff requirements.
- Troubleshoot device, wiring, app, network, and integration issues using a repeatable field process.
- Coordinate with dispatch, support, and operations teams so jobs move from scheduled to completed without surprises.
Requirements & fit
- Lead experience in network technician, field service, smart-home installation, low-voltage work, or customer-facing technical support.
- Comfort reading install notes, diagnosing field conditions, and communicating clearly with customers.
- Licensing or manufacturer certifications may be requested depending on market and job scope.
- Reliable communication, schedule discipline, and a professional installation standard are expected.
