Building the support intelligence layer for the smart home

Trunetto connects troubleshooting, product intelligence, local service providers, careers, and industry partners in one growing platform. It's built, live, and growing today — and open to the right strategic investors and partners who want to help it move faster.

What that adds up to is infrastructure: a single layer that organizes real smart-home support demand and the consumers, products, providers, careers, and partners that move around it.

What Trunetto Is

Not a content website — a working support platform

Smart-home support is fragmented. When something breaks, people are scattered across manufacturer support pages, product manuals, search engines, forums, Reddit, video tutorials, retailers, local installers, and general home-service marketplaces — with no single place that connects the problem to the product, the fix, and the person who can help. Trunetto brings these disconnected areas into one structured ecosystem.

What Trunetto does

Trunetto structures the smart-home support journey end to end — from the specific problem, to the device and ecosystem behind it, to a guide or a nearby provider who can finish the job. Each interaction makes the platform's coverage and support intelligence more useful.

Why Now

The timing is structural

Smart-home adoption keeps growing and devices keep getting more connected — but the support experience around them has not kept pace. As homes add more devices, help stays scattered, and the people who could provide it aren't organized around the customer.

What's changing

  • More connected devices in the average home each year
  • Support spread thinner across more brands and ecosystems
  • Consumers now expect an immediate, specific answer
  • Existing support experiences stay disconnected from one another

Why it's an opening

  • Installers, manufacturers, retailers, and service providers all compete around the same customer journey
  • None of them owns the moment a device stops working
  • Trunetto connects those pieces into one platform, at that exact moment
The Ecosystem

Six connected parts, one platform

These aren't six separate products. Each part feeds the others — troubleshooting creates intent, that intent connects to products, providers, and careers, and the feedback loop improves the whole system.

Troubleshooting

The entry point. Consumers arrive with a specific device or smart-home problem and get structured, step-by-step guides organized by brand, category, and device.

Connects: Feeds intent into every other layer

Products & Brands

Connects problems to the actual devices, ecosystems, compatibility requirements, replacement options, and purchase decisions involved in solving them.

Connects: Turns support moments into buying context

Local Providers

When a guide isn't enough, consumers can find and contact relevant local installers and smart-home service businesses. The consumer always chooses who to reach out to.

Connects: Puts providers in front of real intent

Careers

A live jobs marketplace that blends Trunetto listings with an industry job feed (via a WhatJobs affiliate integration), plus candidate profiles and an employer recruiting dashboard — connecting installers, manufacturers, and service businesses with people who want to work in the industry.

Connects: Grows the workforce behind coverage

Ask Trunetto & Feedback

Questions, failed fixes, successful fixes, and user feedback help surface support gaps — signal that improves coverage and the platform over time.

Connects: Improves the support intelligence

Partners & Commerce

Brands, retailers, and service companies can reach the same audience through listings, advertising, affiliate commerce, and partnership programs built into the platform.

Connects: Multiple commercial pathways
How It Compounds

How the platform grows

Each layer reinforces the next. More support demand brings more troubleshooting traffic; that traffic creates product, brand, and provider opportunities; careers grow the workforce behind local coverage; and better coverage plus richer feedback make the platform more useful — which attracts more demand.

1

Support demand

People search for help with a specific smart-home problem.

2

Troubleshooting traffic

Structured guides attract consumers and industry visitors.

3

Product & brand intelligence

Problems map to devices, ecosystems, and purchase decisions.

4

Provider opportunities

Businesses gain visibility in front of real, demonstrated intent.

5

Careers & workforce

Careers help those businesses find and grow their teams.

6

Better coverage & data

Stronger local service and richer feedback improve the whole platform.

More useful platform data → stronger support demand → the loop compounds.

Evidence & Traction

The platform, by the numbers

These figures are read directly from the live Trunetto platform — coverage and first-party engagement, not projections. We show only what we can verify and round down to stay conservative.

Strategic Value

Why Trunetto matters

The value compounds across several dimensions at once — not from one bet, but from a platform that gets more useful as coverage and participation increase.

What makes it strong

  • High-intent support traffic from people actively solving a problem
  • Structured smart-home problem and device data at scale
  • Structured product and brand coverage across major ecosystems
  • A pathway connecting consumers with local service providers

What makes it compound

  • Workforce and careers alignment with the same industry
  • Multiple commercial pathways rather than a single revenue line
  • A platform that becomes more useful as coverage and participation grow
Hard to Replicate

Why it's difficult to replicate

Trunetto's value isn't a single feature that can be copied. It comes from the connections between things — every troubleshooting interaction ties a problem to a specific device, the products and brands behind it, the providers who can help, the careers that staff them, and the user feedback that confirms what actually worked.

Those connections accumulate. Each guide, brand, product, and confirmed fix adds to a structured picture of how real smart-home problems get solved — the kind of coverage that only forms through sustained, hands-on work across the industry, not a quick build.

And it builds in two directions at once: wider coverage makes the platform more useful for the next consumer, while opening more commercial opportunities for the brands, retailers, and providers who want to reach them.

Commercial Model

Multiple commercial pathways

Trunetto is designed to earn across several channels rather than depend on one. To be precise about stage, we separate what is monetizing on the platform today, the commercial systems already built and ready to scale, and the opportunities investment would help unlock.

Investment Focus

Where capital accelerates growth

The platform is already built and operating. Investment goes directly toward acceleration — commercial expansion, provider onboarding, brand partnerships, distribution, sales, market penetration, and support intelligence. We're selective, and most interested in partners who add strategic value alongside capital.

Distribution

Reach more homeowners at the moment they need support.

Provider onboarding

Bring more installers and service businesses onto the platform.

Brand partnerships

Develop partnerships with manufacturers and retailers.

Commercial development

Build out sales and revenue operations.

Careers partnerships

Expand workforce and training relationships.

Geographic expansion

Grow local coverage across more regions.

Support intelligence

Strengthen data and analytics capabilities.

Platform awareness

Raise visibility with consumers and the industry.

Trunetto is founder-built and preparing for commercial scale from a working base — this is about adding the right partners to that trajectory.

Founder, Trunetto

Founder-built, end to end

Trunetto is built by a founder with roughly two decades of experience building consumer marketplace and discovery products — software whose core job is connecting people to what they're looking for. That is precisely the problem smart-home support presents at scale.

The entire platform is founder-engineered: the troubleshooting engine, the structured product and brand catalog, the provider network, and the commercial systems around them were designed and shipped in-house. It is a working demonstration of technical execution, not a specification.

The thesis is straightforward. Smart-home devices ship faster than the average household can keep up with, and support for them is scattered across dozens of disconnected places. Trunetto's vision is to become the structured layer that pulls that together — troubleshooting, products, providers, and the support intelligence underneath — into one platform built for commercial scale.

Built to Scale

Architected to expand

The same structure that powers the platform today was designed to widen without being rebuilt. Adding coverage is a matter of extending what already works — not starting over.

Room to grow within the model

  • More brands and product lines
  • More smart-home categories
  • More providers and service businesses
  • More commercial and industry partners

Room to grow beyond it

  • Deeper support intelligence as coverage compounds
  • Architected to support new geographic markets over time
  • Additional platform capabilities on the same foundation
Who We're Looking For

The right partners

Trunetto is most useful to organizations that already understand this space and want to build alongside it. The strategic expertise and long-term alignment a partner brings matter as much as the capital.
