Installation Steps
Download the EZVIZ App and Create an Account
Install the EZVIZ app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an EZVIZ account using your email address and set a strong password — this account will be used for all future camera access including remote viewing. After logging in, ensure your phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network you will be using for the camera. EZVIZ cameras do not support 5GHz networks.
Mount the Camera at the Installation Location
Choose a mounting location that provides the field of view you want while keeping the camera within WiFi signal range. Use the included mounting template to mark drill holes. For outdoor cameras, ensure the mounting surface is solid and the cable entry point can be sealed against moisture. For indoor pan-tilt cameras, simply place on a flat surface pointing toward the area you want to monitor. Attach the mounting bracket before routing any cables.

Connect the camera to power using the included adapter. Wait for the status LED to flash red or hear the voice prompt indicating the camera is ready for setup. If the camera was previously configured, hold the reset button on the base for 5 seconds until you hear a reset confirmation tone. The camera is ready to pair when the LED blinks red rapidly or the app prompt says device not connected.
Add the Camera in the EZVIZ App
In the EZVIZ app tap the plus icon then tap Add Device. Choose your camera model from the list or scan the QR code on the camera label. Follow the on-screen prompts — you will select your WiFi network, enter the password, and the app will push those credentials to the camera via a brief Bluetooth or sonic pairing process. The camera LED will turn solid blue or green when it has successfully connected to your WiFi network.
Configure Recording and Notification Settings
After successful connection, tap the camera in your EZVIZ app and go to settings. Enable motion detection and set the sensitivity and detection zone to cover the area you want monitored. Configure recording storage — insert a microSD card for local recording or connect a cloud storage subscription for off-device backup. Enable push notifications so your phone receives alerts when motion is detected. Test the setup by walking in front of the camera and confirming you receive a notification.
