Press and hold the reset button for a full 10 seconds until the LED begins flashing rapidly. The LED should flash blue or white rapidly indicating pairing mode.
Position Shade Near Hub
During initial pairing, place the shade motor within 2 meters of your Aqara hub.
Clear Previous Pairing Data
Hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly then turns off briefly. This performs a factory reset.
Check Hub and Retry
In the Aqara app, verify your hub shows online status. Tap Add Device and select the shade model.
Quick Solutions
Still having issues? This is usually the deeper cause below.
If pairing fails after multiple attempts, the device may still be registered to a previous account — factory-reset it before trying to add it to a new one.
Pairing works best when both the hub and shade have been power cycled within the last hour.
Pairing failures almost always come down to distance during the initial handshake — manufacturers seriously understate how close you actually need to be.
