Overview
The Deebot T20 Omni pairs hot-water mop washing with adjustable mop pressure, but the first mop setup must be configured before good results appear. This guide covers water tank setup, mop pad install, mop-only zones, and hot wash verification.

Got your materials ready? Here's what to check first.
Before You Start

- Dirty water tank full and blocking drain
- Zones not marked as mopping enabled
- Mop pressure set to zero by default
- Hot wash disabled in station settings
Don't skip this step — it breaks everything if you do
Do not leave dirty water in the Omni station overnight. Standing water encourages mold growth and unpleasant odors inside the station.
Tools & Requirements
Installation Steps
Prepare Omni Station
Fill the clean water tank to the marked fill line. Empty and rinse the dirty water tank. Add a small amount of Ecovacs-approved cleaning solution if desired. Confirm the station lid latches properly so the robot can dock for hot wash cycles without alerts.
Install Mop Pads
Attach fresh microfiber mop pads to the robot. Make sure the soft nap side faces the floor. Pads that are backwards will fail to clean and may leave streaks. Press pads flat until they seat evenly on both mounting disks before returning the robot to the dock.
Enable Mopping Zones
In the Ecovacs Home app, open the map editor. Select the rooms that should be mopped. Mark non-mop areas like carpet or rugs as no-mop zones. Accurate zoning is essential because the robot will not auto-detect every carpet type before starting a mop pass.
Adjust Pressure and Water
Set mop pressure to medium or high for the first full mop. Choose a moderate water flow setting. Higher pressure removes sticky residue faster. Lower flow reduces dry time. Tune these after the first pass based on how floors look and feel after cleaning.
Run and Verify
Start a mop-only job. Watch the robot for five minutes to confirm the mop pads are applying water and the path covers the target zones. After the run, check the dirty water tank for visible dirt. Empty the tank and rinse pads to prolong life.
Installation Tips
Still stuck? This is usually the deeper cause below.
Run a plain water rinse cycle after heavy cleaning. It prevents dried cleaning solution from crusting in the dirty water tank filters.
