Pull down to refresh in eWeLink
The simplest fix for state desync: open eWeLink and pull down on the device list to force a refresh. The app queries SONOFF's cloud for the current state of every device. If the state corrects: it was a temporary display lag. eWeLink caches device states locally and sometimes the cache is stale — especially if the app was running in the background for a long time, or if the phone had no internet temporarily and missed state change push notifications.
Toggle the device physically to force a state report
Press the physical button on the SONOFF switch. Each physical toggle sends a state change event to the cloud, which pushes the updated state to all connected eWeLink instances. If the device was showing ON in the app but was actually OFF: pressing the button turns it ON and forces the app to display the correct (now ON) state. This is the fastest way to resync a single device. For MINIR4 in-wall devices: toggle the connected wall switch if it is wired in edge switch mode.
Check if an external switch is causing the desync
SONOFF in-wall switches (MINIR4, BASICR4) connected to physical wall switches can desync if the external switch type is set wrong. If you have a toggle switch (stays up or down) but the device is set to 'Momentary Push Button' mode: the state tracking gets inverted — the app shows ON when the device is OFF. In eWeLink > device > Settings > External Switch Type: select the correct type for your wired switch. Disable conflicting automations

When the temperature hovers between 25-26°C, the device toggles every few seconds and the app cannot keep up with state changes. Fix: add a wider gap between ON/OFF thresholds (e.g., ON above 27°C, OFF below 24°C) to prevent rapid cycling.
Clear cache and reinstall eWeLink if persistent
If state desync happens consistently across multiple devices: the app's local database may be corrupted. Clear cache first: eWeLink > Profile > Settings > Clear Cache. If that does not help: uninstall eWeLink, reinstall from the app store, and log back in. The fresh app downloads all device states from scratch.
