Problem Description

The ECOVACS Home app shows Error 111 (Bump sensor stuck). The front bumper is compressed and can't spring back, so Deebot thinks it is permanently pressed against a wall and stops. On a brand-new robot, the factory protective strip is a common cause.

Check for the Factory Strip

If Error 111 appears on a brand-new Deebot, look for the clear plastic protective strip around the front bumper from the box. Peel it off completely - a strip left on holds the bumper compressed and is the top cause of Error 111 out of the box.

Find the Bumper

The bumper is the wide movable band across the front of the robot. It floats on springs and pushes in when Deebot touches a wall. Error 111 means it is stuck pressed-in or blocked.

Look under and behind the bumper for a cord, thread, or rug tassel wedged in that limits its travel, and pull it out.

Wipe Sticky Edges

If the robot rolled through something sticky, residue can glue the bumper. Wipe the edges and the seam with a barely-damp cloth and dry them so it slides freely.
