Installation Steps

Charge and Set Up in App

Fully charge the Ring Doorbell's battery using the provided orange USB cable. While it charges, download the Ring app on your smartphone and create an account. In the app, select 'Set Up a Device' and scan the QR code located on the back of your Ring Doorbell.

Connect to Wi-Fi

Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Ring Doorbell to your home's Wi-Fi network. You will need to enter your Wi-Fi password. The light on the front of the doorbell will indicate the connection status, turning solid blue once successfully connected.

Physical Installation

For a wired installation, turn off power at the breaker. Remove your old doorbell and install the Ring mounting bracket. Connect the existing doorbell wires to the screws on the bracket. For battery power, simply install the bracket. Attach the Ring Doorbell to the bracket.

Finalize and Test

Secure the Ring Doorbell to the mounting bracket using the provided short security screws. Turn the power back on at the breaker if you performed a wired installation. Test the doorbell by pressing the front button and checking for a notification on your smartphone.
