Your new Nest Learning Thermostat 4th Gen ignores the schedule you set. It changes temperature on its own or does not follow the times you programmed. The learning feature seems to override your preferences. You want the thermostat to follow YOUR schedule not what it thinks you want.

Disable Home/Away Assist

Your schedule will now run regardless of whether you are home.
Turn Off Learning Mode

Set Eco Temperatures Appropriately
Go to Settings then Eco Temperatures on your thermostat. These are the temperatures used when Eco mode activates. Either disable Eco mode or set Eco temperatures close to your normal preferences.
Check for Routine Conflicts
In the Google Home app tap Automations. Look for any routines that control your thermostat. A Good Morning routine might set a temperature that conflicts with your schedule. Delete or edit any thermostat automations you did not intentionally create. Google Assistant voice commands can accidentally create routines.
Disable Sunblock Feature
The thermostat has a sensor that detects direct sunlight hitting it. When sun hits the thermostat it thinks the room is warmer and adjusts.
