In the Ring app, go to your doorbell > Device Settings > General Settings > Chime Type. Select the type that matches your indoor chime: Mechanical (traditional ding-dong chime with a striker), Digital (electronic chime that plays a melody), or None (if you are not using a wired chime). If the chime type is set wrong, the doorbell sends the wrong signal and the chime stays silent.

Check Doorbell Wiring

Turn off the breaker for the doorbell circuit. Remove the Ring doorbell from its mounting plate (press the security screw on the bottom with the included tool).
