Verify Transformer Rating
Power down the doorbell circuit at the breaker. Use a multimeter to confirm the transformer outputs at least 16VAC under load. Underpowered transformers cause random reboots of the E340. Upgrade to a compatible 24VAC 30VA transformer if measurements fall short.

Open the existing chime cover and wire the included Eufy power controller across the front and trans terminals per the diagram. The controller conditions doorbell power so the chime still rings when the doorbell is pressed. Double check terminals before reconnecting power.

Restore Power and Pair
Turn the breaker back on. Open the Eufy Security app, tap Add Device, and follow the prompts to pair the E340 on your 2.4GHz WiFi. If pairing fails, move closer to the router or add an extender near the entry. Confirm the app reports online status.
Configure Chime and Cameras
In the app, set the chime type to mechanical so the controller routes power correctly. Adjust both camera fields of view and motion zones. Run a test press to confirm the mechanical chime rings and the app receives a notification at the same time.
